One of the wonderful things about the new building is the expanded space. It has given opportunity to add to our Sweet Family. This morning I would like to introduce to you one of two fabulous women who have joined the Sweet Gang.
Sandra |
As an Ohio farm girl, Sandra was born into the
“junking” life. It didn’t matter whether it was furniture, collectibles,
machinery, animals, or even pets: If it wasn’t bid on, bartered for, traded or
swapped out, it didn’t have a chance to go home with Sandra or her family.
Sandra’s
“love of the hunt” continued after buying and moving to a ranch on the San Pedro
River in Southeastern Arizona. The farm girl gave way to the rancher, who now
was collecting and selling antique Western memorabilia. Her store, called “The
Stagg Ranch Collection” was named appropriately after the ranch she now called
home.
A move back to Phoenix prompted her to infuse a
certain eclectic and energetic urban feel to her new finds. Sandra found an
outlet for her creativity and her new style among the clients that hired her to
paint faux marble on columns and walls, full wall murals, and trompe l'oeil
renderings. She painted and decorated and tracked down furniture and
collectibles for clients from Desert Mountain near her home in Cave Creek, all
the way out to commercial and residential projects in the Windy City.
Windy City work trips ultimately gave way to
frequent travel to London. On other trips, visiting little towns in Switzerland
and Italy or the back roads of Germany has given her a new outlook on the truly
international reach of good “junking”.
The
challenge and reward for Sandra now is to track down and acquire the eclectic
pieces locally that reflect her love of the craftsmanship and history of the Old
World that she and her clients have come to recognize as her style: Old World
Eclectic.
You are going to love Sandra, we sure do.
