Silver and Gold

Dear Friends,

One of my favorite Christmas themes I believe began when I was a child watching Burl Ives singing "Silver and Gold" in the movie Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. I loved the lyrics then and I still do today.

Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Mean so much more
When I see
Silver
And gold decorations
On ev'ry Christmas tree

I think in some way every Holiday season I have incorporated this theme into my decor. Sure I have used bright colors, traditional red and green even did a fun candy tree when my children were small but through out all the themes I have always had at least one vignette dedicated to the beauty of Silver and Gold. The Sweet Gang has designed some amazing vignettes for the Comfort and Joy Event using my favorite Christmas theme. Here's a little peek. I am truly excited for this up coming event. The Holiday Spirit is so lovingly displayed I can't help but be inspired for the season. There are still a few tickets left for the Comfort and Joy Preview Party this Wednesday evening.
